Follow the battle of the legendary samurai Miyamoto Musashi against his greatest enemy!

Musashi: – Master! How can I defeat Covid with my sword?

Master: – Covid is a virus, how can you kill something that isn’t alive, boy?

A virus is not a living being, and therefore is not able to reproduce itself in food, as bacteria do. Viruses need to infect cells to replicate. The food or its packaging are only vehicles, that is, it may have a contaminated surface if its being handled by someone with the disease, as well as a door handle or any other object …

The Corona Virus has a layer of fat in the shape of a crown, which protects it, if we dismantle it, the virus can be destroyed.

Musashi: – Teach me master! What ancestral technique should I use?

Master: – The Japanese people have been using these techniques for a long time!

How is it transmitted?

The virus is transmitted by direct contact with infected people, surfaces or by air.

When someone with covid19 coughs, the particles can stay in the air for up to 3 hours. The virus can spread even through the speech of someone infected.

How to fight the Corona Virus?

Asian countries such as Japan, had a lower rate of contagion, the use of masks had been part of everyday life for a long time. In these countries, direct contact between people (handshakes, kisses and hugs) is also less.

Here are some tips from our Samurai.

Wash your hands

Wash your hands constantly.

Alcohol gel can be very efficient, but the good old soap  will do the job.

Masks

Do not go out in the street without a mask. Even the fabric mask will protect you more than being without one. The mask is not only to protect you, but mainly other people. When a person speaks, imperceptible droplets of saliva remain in the air. Many people may be infected and don’t even know it, but if they are wearing a mask, the chances of contaminating others will be much less.

The best masks are those of N95 classification (they filter 95% of the air particles), however they are harder to find.

Although it does not offer great protection, surgical masks are the easiest model to find.

Avoid touching your face while wearing a mask.

Avoid crowds

Avoid crowds, events, shows, huge events. If it is really necessary to go through these environments, protect yourself as much as possible, avoiding contact with other people, following basic rules of social distance:

-Use a mask;

-Avoid touching objects and other surfaces unnecessarily;

-Keep a distance of at least 2 meters (often insufficient, as studies show)

-Avoid poorly ventilated environments

And wash your hands well!

Shopping

If possible, choose to shop online or by phone, but if going to the supermarket is really unavoidable, follow the rules of social distance.

And how do about the stuff I bought?

When you get home, immediately throw away the shopping bags.

Separate an isolated space, such as a tank or basin.

Wash all packages well with soap before storing the products.

And about the salad?

Throw away the outer leaves and prepare a solution of water with a spoonful of water vinegar (1 spoon / liter), wash vegetables before storing them.

Arriving home

Do as a samurai, make a habit of taking off your shoes before entering the house and leave them at the entrance, after the door. If possible, wear slippers and remove them before entering your room. When you get home, do not wear either the mask or the clothes you wore on the street (wash them).

Money

Money is a dirty object that was handled by many people before it reached your hands. After handling it, store it deep in your wallet and wash your hands.

Patience

Quarantine or not, your mind is important as your physical health.

Keep Calm. If you still have to go out to work, try to keep the protocol and act calmly, taking all the necessary precautions, such as the use of masks in public environments, including public transportation.

Meeting other people

Avoid handshakes, kisses and hugs, do like a samurai:

Always wearing a mask!

Contact with the elderly and the risk group

Avoid contact with individuals belonging to the risk group.

People with chronic diseases such as asthma, diabetes and hypertension, individuals over 60 years of age are the most likely to have complications and die from Covid-19. Many infected people end up not developing strong symptoms, so you may end up infecting someone by accident!
